It has been a great start to 2025 for the Hi5 crew! We have begun a relationship with both Saint Peters College and Willowbank Primary and are now helping to coach a number of teams from each school. We have been delighted to help out as Willowbank have entered 3 teams into the Underdog competition for terms 2 and 3, the first time for a number of years they have been able to enter a basketball team into any competition. It has also been great working with Saint Peters and to see their top teams really taking off in the Premier Grade, and we are also hosting both club trainings and holiday programs at Saint Peters as well!
We are also working closer than ever with Macleans, BBI, and Pigeon Mountain. Once again at Macleans College we have been able to increase the number of teams participating in competitions and continue to host both our club trainings and eastern holiday camp at the gym.
Hi5 wants to continue to expand and grow to have an increased positive impact on New Zealand Basketball. It has been great forming partnerships with the BNZ Breakers and Jadcup Auckland Tuatara, where they have included Hi5 in events such as the BNZ Lantern Festival, and have given the Hi5 family special ticketing offers so that we can go down and support our local franchises!
We are looking forwards to the second half of 2025 and hope to see some more amazing results for our players and teams.
